“The Western countries, led by the United States, have imposed all-round control and repression on our country, posing unprecedented serious challenges to our development,” Xi said.

Xi reportedly asked private sector oligarchs to “get rich and love” the nation, urging them to contribute to charitable causes and public welfare.
State radio quoted Xi as saying, “Be rich and responsible, be rich and benefit others, be rich and loving.”
China is currently holding an annual meeting of National People’s CongressIts supreme legislative body, at the same time the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, a political consultative meeting.
