Filmmakers of the upcoming social drama film careful released the official trailer on Friday morning. Rajkummar Rao on Instagram shared the trailer which he captioned, “In the darkest times facing the nation, one man will dare to make a difference. Trailer out now! #Bheed, in theaters March 24.”
The film documents the dark lockdown phase in the country when state borders were sealed for fear of the spread of the new coronavirus. It shows how dozens were stranded far from home, literally under the open sky, bringing back painful memories of the Partition of India in 1947.
The film stars Rajkummar Rao, Bhumi Pednekar, Pankaj Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Dia Miza and Kiriti Kamra in pivotal roles and is set to hit theaters on March 24, 2023.
Shortly after the makers revealed the official trailer for the movie, fans flooded the comment section with red hearts and fire emoticons. “Waooooo. I must see the movie…”, commented a fan.
Another fan wrote: “Rao has hit a jackpot with this script. All Indians regardless of age group will relate to it, especially this is going to reach the masses, and the only way people will come back to theaters… good job and all the best”.
“Excited to see this movie…”, wrote one user. Bhumi will be seen essaying the role of a doctor, while Rao will be seen playing a police inspector.
This film marks the second collaboration of Rajkummar and Bhumi after Badhai Do. The film was released last year and garnered praise from both the public and critics. On the work front, Rajkummar Rao was last seen on the Netflix original. Monica, oh my love, which generated mixed reviews. Bhumi will be seen at Ajay Bahl’s The lady’s murderer by Sudhir Mishra Afwaa, Produced by Gauri Khan Bhakshak, and Mudassar Aziz Mere husband Ki Biwi.
