naatu naatu It’s a song of the people of India, said RRR star Ram Charan as he returned to the country on Friday after an Oscar win for director SS Rajamouli’s runway.
The 37-year-old actor, who was accompanied by his wife, businesswoman Upasana Kamineni Konidela, was greeted by dozens of elated fans at the Delhi airport.
“I am pleased and happy. Thank you all. We are proud of MM Keeravani, SS Rajamouli and Chandrabose. Thanks to them, we went on the red carpet and brought an Oscar for India.”
“I thank all the fans and people from north to south and east to west of India for watching RRR and doing the naatu naatu song a superhit naatu naatu it was not our song, it was the song of the people of India. It gave us a pathway to the Oscars,” Charan told reporters at the airport.
At the 95th Academy Awards, the blockbuster “Naatu Naatu” composed by MM Keeravaani and written by Chandrabose made the Telugu film the first Indian production to take home the golden statuette.
The song was also performed at the Oscars ceremony by singers Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj. Directed by HH Rajamouli,
RRR is a fictional pre-independence story that follows two real-life Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Jr NTR) in the 1920s. In addition to the Telugu song, the Tamil documentary of Netflix the elephant whisperersDirected by newcomer Kartiki Gonsalves and produced by Guneet Monga, it also became the first Indian production to win in the Short Documentary category.
