Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone made the nation proud with her charming and elegant appearance at the 95th Academy Awards on Sunday night (Monday morning IST). The actress attended the prestigious awards ceremony as a presenter. Deepika was accompanied by her sister Anisha Padukone to Los Angeles and now, Anisha has shared a beautiful post celebrating India’s stellar performance at the 2023 Oscars as well as Deepika’s appearance. Sharing an image in which Anisha, dressed in a beautiful black dress, poses next to a large Oscar statuette, she said: “It’s such an overwhelming experience to be a part of something so magical. That too this year! Very proud of everyone representing India and massive congratulations to all the winners.” She also added the hashtags. RRR and the elephant whisperer, referring to the winners from India. Naatu Naatu by RRR won the award for Best Original Song, while the elephant whisperers won an Oscar in the Best Documentary Short category. In response to the post, singer Harshdeep Kaur said, “Beautiful,” complete with a heart emoji. Actor Danish Sait said, “Very good,” with a row of heart emojis.
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone became the third Indian to attend the Academy Awards in a presenting capacity after Persis Khambatta and Priyanka Chopra. At the ceremony, Deepika presented the naatu naatu performance by singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava.
Needless to say, Deepika Padukone caused a stir around the world with her stunning appearance at the Oscars, wearing a custom-made black Louis Vuitton gown and Cartier jewelry. Fans of hers and colleagues of hers in Bollywood couldn’t help but shower her with praise. Alia Bhatt posted a photo of Deepika from the red carpet and exclaimed, “This beauty is doing India proud!” with heart emoji. Alia also commented on another Deepika post, calling her “wonderful,” while Neha Dhupia expressed her admiration with a heart emoji.
