GMI Insurance announces two new hires

Together, Hall and Kelly will be responsible for increasing the company’s product offerings, including workers’ compensation and other specialized programs.

Prior to joining GMI, Hall served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Workers’ Compensation and Regional Vice President at Breckenridge Insurance.

We are especially excited about Shawn’s experience building client and carrier relationships. His unparalleled market experience enables us to expand and grow our already successful business.”

“GMI has really been a hit,” Hall said. “What interests me is the potential to grow the business – it’s limitless. I’m looking forward to expanding existing products, bringing in new lines of coverage and developing new programs, with each step organically feeding into the next and building our new team along the way. Kelly joined GMI from Breckenridge Insurance, where she served as Associate Broker. She has expertise in customer and vendor management, market analysis, auditing, and communications planning.

“I am very excited about this opportunity to work with Shawn on building new programs and to bring my years of wholesale experience to GMI,” she said.

“I have known Shawn for over 10 years, and I look forward to working closely with him and Kelly as I transition into a more market-facing role,” said Karen Trudel, GMI’s outgoing COO.

GMI Insurance recently launched a cannabis transportation insurance program.
